slow
everything moves more slowly here. i like it. the pace of life in sayulita is part of what draws us to this place.
2 weeks ago we relocated to a casa that we LOVE except for the fact that we have no internet there. maybe that will change, maybe it won't - it's not in my control at the moment. it's been an interesting little journey - relinquishing my daily connection to the "outside world".
though i've been pouting over my loss of easy access to the internet, i can't help but notice the ways it has changed our family life for the better. i would have NEVER chosen to unplug at home - not even for just 2 weeks. AND i am undeniably the better for it.
if internet does become an option for us, i'll take it in a heartbeat. for now i've found a little workspace that meets my needs and more.
cool either way.

¡estamos aqui en mexico!
¡estamos aqui en mexico!
we arrived this past week. ian and brendo drove serpico from austin, texas to sayulita, mexico and the kids and i flew in once they arrived. we’ve unpacked, the kids have started school, and ian is preparing his studio.
we’ve had this move on the horizon since the beginning of the year and i’m happy to be finally settling in to this new world. the language is different, the customs are different, small town living is different, but having spent 2 1/2 months here in sayulita last fall, it’s all familiar also.
it already feels a little bit like home.
