HUICHOL LOVE

Huichol Love : modern design meets traditional Huichol craft

hl-red I first encountered the Huichol people over a decade ago while traveling through Mexico. The Huichols are considered to be one of the last surviving pre-Columbian cultures in the world and, like many indigenous peoples around the globe that are facing modernity, their vibrant culture is in danger of vanishing.

I am honored to now be working with the Huichol people and The Huichol Center for Cultural Survival in the creation of a fine jewelry collection. Every piece of fair trade HUICHOL LOVE Jewelry is hand beaded by the Huichol people in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico and finished in my studios in Austin, TX and Sayulita, Mexico. A portion of the HUICHOL LOVE collection is available now online and at JM Drygoods in Austin, TX.
