my birthday was awesome. i woke up and got my face painted, went paddle boarding on ladybird lake, had lunch with ian at black sheep lodge, got a foot massage, met the fam at whole foods and walked to waterloo records where we saw/listened/danced to shinyribs.  capped off the day with amigos at swift's attic and the elephant room. it was a lovely austin day.

happy birthday, bebe

ian, i remember spending your birthday together in prague 10 years ago. we were so young and so free and our love was so new. it all seems a world away now.

these days our universe spins around a muse and a marvel. they are so young and so free and their love is so new.

every day with you i experience love begetting love. and i thank my lucky stars that i get to spend this life with you.

happy birthday, bebe.

side note: the above pictures are of ian and koruna painting marvel's ceiling. when mars first looked up and noticed it, he said, "uh-oh. dirty." love it.

taking the photos, telling the stories already helps me better remember the days gone by.  i'm really grateful for that.
